Based in North County Dublin, Kestrel Drone Ltd places an equal focus on the overall experience our clients have and on creating the perfect image. We do this to ensure our clients’ needs are completely met while producing images of the highest quality.
Established in 2018, our founder, CEO & Chief Pilot has an aviation industry pedigree reaching back over 40 years. We at Kestrel Drone love flying Drones, we have a professional but fun approach offering custom-made solutions to meet every need.
Capturing the Fun and Excitement
Our cameras are capable of shooting in a variety of formats and we can deliver the end product to you in an unedited format or if you prefer we can use our in-house editing suite to deliver a ‘topped and tailed’ production for you. We can add graphics and music to your liking.
Our advanced equipment enables us to capture stunning Hi-Definition aerial images. The clarity of the images is breath taking. Taking our brief from you we will plan the flight mission to capture images from multiple angles, distances and heights.

Our Drones offer unprecedented access to those difficult to get to areas. Our equipment is capable of producing 3D mapping, Thermal imaging, High definition images and 4K video. We can also live stream images back to your command centre or office based experts.

Kestrel Drone is registered with the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) and is a holder of a Specific Operating Permission (SOP) issued by the IAA.
All Kestrel Drone Pilots hold a Pilot Competency Certificate (PCC, Drone Operator Licence) issued by the IAA.
Kestrel Drone holds EASA approvals.

The Answers You Need
ARE YOUR PILOTS QUALIFIED AND LICENSED?
Our highly experienced Drone Pilots complete a comprehensive training programme before undergoing strict testing by Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) flight examiners. All mission Pilots are Qualified and Licensed by the IAA.
DOES YOUR COMPANY HOLD AVIATION AUTHORITY APPROVALS?
Kestrel Drone Ltd is EASA and IAA Approved, our Specific Operating Permission granted by the IAA allows us to operate in restricted areas giving unprecedented access to many exciting and challenging locations.
Safety is paramount to our operations, each mission is meticulously planned. A risk assessment and comprehensive pre-flight checks are completed before our pilots get airborne. Our drones and support equipment are regularly serviced and our mission packs include first aid & safety equipment. We carry Public Liability Insurance.
We are passionate about drones. We live and breathe flying and are never happier than when we are flying a mission which allows us to bring our clients aspirations to life through a perspective that opens new creative opportunities and delivers visually stunning images encapsulating the essence of the subject matter.
We use only the latest state of the art equipment available from the world’s leading Drone manufacturer DJI, enabling us to deliver 4K Ultra HD video quality and amazing clarity with Hi-Definition stills. Our powerful in-house editing suite allows us to produce the highest quality results, guaranteed to elicit that WOW factor.
CAN YOU FLY IN ANY WEATHER?
Drones are very similar to other aircraft in that weather can affect our ability to fly. We cannot fly in adverse weather conditions, strong winds, heavy rain or generally stormy conditions. Due to the inclement weather conditions in Ireland it may not be possible to fly your mission. We will always do our best to fly on your preferred date but in the event this is not possible we will work with you to arrange an alternative date.
CAN YOU FLY AT NIGHT
Yes we can fly at night and we really enjoy night flying. Our Drones are capable of night time (Dark) missions. We also have Drones equipped with FLIR Thermal cameras which can track a variety of heat sources during daylight or after dark.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
Our comprehensive pricing structure means we can offer you a competitive price for your mission.
Our missions are charged per 'block hour', the minimum mission we will fly being 1 Block Hour.
Each mission we fly is unique and priced according to the complexity of the project and time required to capture the images or data requested by the client.
We carry out pre-flight planning and site assessment free of charge.
What isn't covered?
Any fees associated with gaining specific approvals or permits to operate.
Travelling expenses beyond 25km, any road/bridge tolls or parking charges.
